Registered Office Address
A professional address for your company — with mail scanning, secure storage, and one less thing to worry about.

Who needs a registered office address service?
Every UK limited company, LLP, CIC, and charity must have a registered office address. It’s a legal requirement — and the address appears on the public Companies House register.
You might use this service if you:
- Work from home and don’t want your address publicly visible
- Move around frequently (digital nomads, remote workers) and need a fixed address
- Find dealing with official letters stressful — we open, scan, and sort everything for you
- Want all your company correspondence in one place and handled by people who understand it
What qualifies as a registered office?
Since March 2024, Companies House requires your registered office to be an “appropriate address” — meaning documents delivered there must reach someone acting on behalf of the company, and delivery must be recordable. PO Boxes no longer qualify. Our address meets all current requirements.
What does the service include?
We provide a professional business address for your company registration, plus comprehensive mail handling:
- Mail opening — we open everything, so you don’t have to
- Mail scanning and emailing — all correspondence scanned and sent to you digitally
- Secure junk mail disposal — sales letters and irrelevant post are shredded
- Forwarding within a week — scanned copies sent promptly after receipt
- Physical document storage — original documents kept securely for filing
Thoughtfully managing your deadlines
Because we handle and process your official post, our practice management system tracks key deadlines automatically. For example, you don’t have to receive stressful duplicate reminders from HMRC — we’ll let you know what needs your attention (and when) at a pace that helps you instead of harming you.
For clients who prefer it: We can arrange for HMRC correspondence to come directly to us, so you don’t need to deal with those letters at all.
When would you use a registered office service?
When setting up a new company:
You’ll need to provide a registered office address during incorporation. All previous registered office addresses can be viewed publicly on the Companies House website, so using our address from the start keeps your home address off the public register.
When your circumstances change:
If you’re moving house, travelling, or just want more privacy and less post, you can change your registered office at any time by filing a confirmation statement.
Ongoing:
Once set up, we handle all official correspondence throughout the year — Companies House, HMRC, courts, and government agencies.
How does it work?
- We set you up — you provide company details, and we register our address as your official registered office
- Mail arrives — all official correspondence comes to us
- We open and scan — everything is digitised and emailed to you
- Junk is shredded — irrelevant post disposed of securely
- Originals stored — physical documents kept in locked filing cabinets for your records
Changing your registered company address: who to contact
If you’re switching to our registered office address service, you’ll need to file a confirmation statement with Companies House. You’ll also need to update your details with banks, HMRC, and anywhere where your registered address is listed (such as your website, payment processing services like PayPal Business, and business directories). We can help guide you through what needs updating.
Why use a registered office service?
Protecting your privacy
Your registered office address appears on the public Companies House register. Using a business address keeps your home address private.
Ensuring a compliant registered address
Companies House requires an “appropriate address” that meets specific criteria. Our address is fully compliant with the March 2024 rules.
For peace of mind and security
If opening official letters feels stressful, we handle it for you. Everything arrives digitally, already opened and sorted, and you don’t have to worry about securely storing paper documents at home.
Ease of use and accessibility
One address for all official correspondence, managed by people who understand and clearly communicate to you what the letters mean and what action (if any) is needed, and always with compassion.

Other Common Questions
Is my data secure?
Your information is protected under GDPR. Digital copies are stored securely on Microsoft SharePoint, and physical letters are kept in locked filing cabinets. Only authorised staff can open your mail.
Can someone else receive my scanned mail?
We can forward correspondence to a third party (such as a business partner or company secretary), but we need prior written authorisation from the person who signed the engagement letter. This is required for GDPR compliance.
What happens if I change my registered office to your address?
You’ll need to file a confirmation statement with Companies House and update your address with banks, credit card companies, HMRC, and anywhere your registered office is displayed — including marketing materials. We can advise on what needs updating, though making those changes is your responsibility.
What qualifies as an "appropriate address" for a registered office?
Since March 2024, Companies House now requires that documents delivered to your registered office can reach someone acting on behalf of the company, and that delivery can be acknowledged. Although PO Boxes used to be an option, they no longer qualify. Our address meets all current requirements.
Do I need to display my company name at the registered office?
Generally, yes — company law requires your name to be displayed at the registered office so it’s visible to the public. However, dormant companies (those that have been dormant since incorporation) don’t need to do this.
What if I receive something urgent?
We’ll scan and forward your mail within a week of receipt, and if something time-sensitive arrives, we’ll flag it for you quickly. Our practice management system also tracks key deadlines, so important dates don’t slip through the cracks.
